Where ideas take shape and coffee's always brewing. This is where the magic happens - well, that and a lot of late-night sketches and heated debates about building materials.
Forget the corporate jargon. Here's what really goes down when we're designing your next space.
We kick things off with a proper conversation - not just about what you want, but why you want it. Usually happens over coffee or tea, sometimes involves napkin sketches. This is where we figure out if we're a good fit and where your project could actually go.
We dig deep into your site, local regulations, and honestly just walk around the neighborhood a lot. Our team spends time understanding context - what works, what doesn't, and what could work better. Sometimes inspiration strikes in weird places.
This is where the studio gets loud. We sketch, build models, argue about proportions, and push ideas around until something clicks. It's messy, it's collaborative, and it's probably the most fun part. Our walls are covered in drawings and pinned-up concepts.
Once we've got a direction, we move into proper technical drawings and 3D work. We're constantly checking back with engineers, consultants, and budget realities. Design's gotta be beautiful but it also needs to actually stand up and work in the real world.
Construction starts and we're on-site regularly - sometimes more than the contractor would like. We're there to make sure what we designed actually gets built right. Details matter, and we're not shy about pointing out when something's off.
The best moment - when we hand you the keys and watch you experience the space for real. We stick around for a bit to make sure everything's working as it should. Then we celebrate, take way too many photos, and start thinking about the next challenge.
We're set up in a renovated warehouse space in Toronto's downtown core - exposed brick, way too much natural light, and enough room to spread out models and drawings. It's the kind of studio where you can hear three different conversations about cantilevers happening at once.
The studio's got everything we need: a big central work table that's seen a thousand design battles, a materials library that keeps growing, decent coffee equipment (critical), and enough wall space to pin up entire project timelines.
Drop by sometime if you're in the neighborhood - we're usually here late, and we've always got the kettle on.
We're proud of these, but honestly the best reward is seeing people actually use and love the spaces we create.

We're a crew of fifteen designers, architects, and support staff who actually like coming to work. Everyone brings something different to the table - different backgrounds, different perspectives, different coffee preferences.
Some of us studied at Waterloo, others at Ryerson or came from overseas. We've got folks who specialize in heritage work, others who live and breathe sustainability, and a few who just really love getting into the nitty-gritty of building details.
What ties us together? We genuinely care about making buildings that work for people and make cities better. Plus, we've all learned to tolerate each other's music choices during long studio sessions.
Meet the TeamWe're pretty platform-agnostic around here. Revit for big projects, Rhino for complex geometry, SketchUp for quick studies. Hand sketching still happens daily - sometimes the best ideas come from a pencil and trace paper. We've also got a pretty sweet model-making setup with laser cutters and 3D printers.
Friday afternoon design reviews are mandatory - everyone shares what they're working on and we all weigh in. Lunch is usually a group affair. We do studio outings to see buildings and exhibitions. The playlist rotation is democratic but occasionally controversial. Work-life balance is real here, not just something we say.
Every project teaches us something new. We regularly bring in guest speakers, visit construction sites, and encourage people to take courses or attend conferences. The field keeps changing - new materials, new methods, new challenges - so we've gotta keep up and stay curious about what's possible.
If you've got a project in mind or just want to chat about possibilities, get in touch. We're always up for a good conversation about buildings and cities.
